Things I love...

The things I love most in life... my children and my husband. Photography is a close 3rd! Took the kids up to the mountains today to practice shooting in harsh light. (and to get out of the dirt haze thats been blowing around all day!) We had fun hiking around and taking some photographs.

really like how the image above & below almost look like a pencil sketches or very old photos.

I got a new plug in for Photoshop that I absolutely love! Silver Efex Pro will be great for black&whites, sepia, & antiquing. I will using this tool tons, I can tell already! (Just gotta figure out everything it can do.) Who doesn't love a classic timeless look in a photograph....

Finally a little time to work on projects of my own... But they can be shared. I am designing a 20 page 10x10 baby book for my little guy. 1 page done! 19 to go! I will post the whole book when I am done.

Here are some highlights from Ethan's birthday shoot.

He has had an obsession with trains lately, so of course- we had to take him down by the tracks but that didn't last long because there were swarms of grasshoppers! So we grabbed another change of clothes and went to another location...

It really is much easier to photograph other peoples children, but

I do love when I can get a really great shot of my own!

I went to take Ethan's 2year birthday photos today, really should have finished my other editing jobs first...and laundry, house cleaning, and a million other things because now I just want to edit these photos. (I am limiting myself to editing 5 photos tonight from this shoot!)

Ethan had a blast hunting for easter eggs once he figured out they had prizes inside...

this little guy will do about ANYTHING for candy!

William is always begging for action shots on his skateboard and will pose for NO other photographs. The lighting in this lil dark building was really working against me, but what the heck- better than nothing. Next time I will stand in a better spot to get his face!
